A glass production industrial complex is planned in Léguéma, in the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso. To facilitate its construction, the Burkinabe government has declared an area of 60 hectares, 37 ares and 19 centiares to be of urgent public utility, intended to accommodate the facilities of the future factory.
The decree containing this measure was adopted during the Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The land in question must allow for the mobilization of the space necessary for the implementation of the project.
The selected area is intended to accommodate the various production units, technical infrastructure, storage spaces and equipment essential to the operation of the industrial complex.
Through this initiative, the project intends to contribute to the development of national industry, meet the growing demand for glass products and strengthen local production capacities.
The declaration of urgent public utility thus constitutes a step in securing the land necessary for the establishment of this future industrial unit.
