Senegal is strengthening its digital capabilities to modernize the functioning of its courts. The Ministry of Justice has provided courts and central services with 633 pieces of computer equipment to support the deployment of the e-Justice platform.
The batch includes 329 all-in-one computers, 190 laptops, 74 scanners, and 40 printers. This equipment will enable judges, court clerks, and other judicial actors to digitize files, track them, and process procedures through the platform.
The distribution takes into account the needs of the different jurisdictions. The jurisdiction of the Dakar Court of Appeal receives 278 pieces of equipment, that of Thiès receives 191. The other 164 are intended for several jurisdictions, notably those of Kaolack and Ziguinchor, as well as for the central services of the ministry.
Through this initiative, the Senegalese authorities aim to simplify judicial procedures, improve the flow of information, and reduce case processing times. The e-Justice platform is thus part of a broader digital transformation program designed to make judicial services more efficient and facilitate citizens' access to justice.
