Ten months in, and already a new government reshuffle. In Gabon, the size of the new executive, unveiled on October 11, 2026, has increased from 30 to 33 members.
At the head of this new team, Hermann Immongault retains his position as Vice-President of the Government, a function equivalent to that of Prime Minister, which he has held since January 1, 2026.
The most notable departure is that of Camelia Ntoutoume Leclercq, Minister of State for National Education. She is replaced by Jacqueline Ilogue Bignoumba, formerly Minister of Labour.
Another notable departure is that of Philippe Tonangoye, who is leaving the Ministry of Energy in a context marked by electricity and water cuts in the country.
The new government is also composed without Jean-François Ndong Obiang, until now Minister of Reform and Relations with Institutions.
Lubin Ntoutoume, in Industry and Local Processing, and Armande Longo, wife of Moulengui, in Social Affairs, are also leaving the ship.
On the arrivals side, eight new figures are joining the government. Five members of the outgoing team retain their positions, but inherit new portfolios.
It is also worth noting an evolution in the government architecture: some ministries have been merged, while others have now been established as fully-fledged departments.
