The leading figures of Diffa reaffirmed their support for the Nigerien authorities and their commitment to the country's reconstruction process. They made this known on Saturday, September 12, 2026, during a meeting organized by the regional coordination of the Convergence for the Sovereignty of Sahel Nations (COSNAS), at the official tribune in Diffa.

The mobilization brought together several categories of the population, including representatives of civil society, women, young people, religious and traditional leaders, as well as members of COSNAS.

The Governor of Diffa, Major General Mahamadou Ibrahim Bagadoma, praised the strong participation of the people.
According to him, this mobilization demonstrates the population's support for the guidelines of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP), the Government and the President of the Republic, Army General Abdourahamane Tiani.
The Governor also addressed the events of August 28-29, 2026 at Base 101 in Niamey. He denounced attempts which, according to him, aimed to undermine the interests of Niger and the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).

Faced with these threats, Major General Mahamadou Ibrahim Bagadoma called on the people to preserve unity and social cohesion, while remaining vigilant and mobilized around the guidelines of the Refoundation.
"Your gathering demonstrates once again your patriotic commitment, your responsible citizenship and the support you have always given to the national authorities," he said, believing that the Refoundation could count on the commitment of the population of Diffa.
