Niger: The Domon Leydi settle into the community security system

For the governor of Dosso, Colonel-Major Bana Alhassane, the Domon Leydi must contribute to strengthening the security network and to mobilizing the different components of society in the defense of the territory.

Discussions with prefects, canton chiefs, delegated administrators of municipalities and religious leaders then focused on the procedures for setting up the committees, their missions and their management in accordance with the applicable laws.

Through this mechanism, the Nigerien authorities are seeking to better structure the participation of the population in the security of their territories, in addition to the action of the defense and security forces.
