China-Africa media cooperation: Burkina Faso participates in the 7th forum in Beijing

Burkina Faso is participating in the 7th Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation, which opened this Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Beijing, China. A large Burkinabe delegation, composed of journalists, communications professionals, and representatives from public and private media outlets, is taking part in the proceedings under the leadership of the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, Pingdwendé Gilbert Ouédraogo.

Held under the theme "Sharing New Development Opportunities, Creating a New Audiovisual Future," the meeting brings together some thirty African countries. It is part of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and aims to assess the progress of collaboration between China and Africa in the radio, television, and audiovisual sectors.

Participants will also consider ways to strengthen this cooperation and develop new ones. Established in 2012, this biennial forum is co-organized by the National Radio and Television Administration of China, the Beijing Municipal Government, and the African Union of Broadcasting.
